Mikki Bridgewater is a small town girl who has struggled with what to do in life. She has wonderful friends, a secret crush, and she has finally found her happy place in her candle shop Mountain Lights Candle & Gifts. She is gearing up for the Bloom into Spring festival and all is going well. But when murder rocks the small town of Pine Ridge West Virginia Mikki finds that she also has a knack for solving crime.

Too bad the killer knows this too.

Will Mikki find that she is the next victim? Or will she use her crime solving skills to bring the killer to justice?

Mikki Bridgewater is finally starting to recover after she narrowly escaped with her life last year at the hands of a killer. She has continued with therapy to help with the associated panic attacks and still manages to find time to run a successful candle shop and nurture a budding relationship with her boyfriend Officer Paul Richards.

All seems to be going well in Pine Ridge West Virginia and the whole town is excited about the upcoming Fourth of July/ town Bicentennial celebration. But when strange things begin to occur around her home, Mikki starts to wonder if she is overreacting because of last year’s trauma or if someone is out to get her. Her fears are soon confirmed when in the middle of float building for the big parade a body is discovered.

Will Mikki fall victim to her fears, or will she face them and jump back into her amateur crime solving ways with her best friend Meg? One thing is for sure, there is a killer on the loose in Pine Ridge and no one is safe. Who will survive to see the fireworks? I guess you will have to wait and see.

It’s Autumn in Pine Ridge, WV and the whole town is getting ready for the upcoming fall festival. Mikki Bridgewater loves everything about this time of year, especially the decorations. She is all set to get her candle shop ready for the judges and hopefully take the top prize in the Spooky competition.

There’s just one catch.

A mysterious note left at Mountain Light’s Candle & Gifts makes her start to question if the author meant it as a prank or something more sinister. When more notes begin to surface things take a scary turn.

Darkness falls across Pine Ridge and its cause will soon become apparent. The streak of recent deaths will seem like child’s play if this killer has their way.

Can Mikki, Meg, Paul and their friends find a way to protect the good citizens of Pine Ridge West Virginia or will a murderous rampage change life as they all know it?
